ANU Web Proxy/Cache

Access Controls

All ANU clients are allowed unrestricted access to ANU servers through the cache. This is necessary as not all clients are correctly configured.
Authentication is required for access to free sites in all open access facilities and most other areas of the University. Areas can request to be exempted from authentication to the cache on a subnet-basis.

The username/password pair required to access the ANU web caches is the UniID and password pair, as used to access Horus, OLAMS, and ISIS.

ANU Cache and Proxy Services

The Division of Information provides the main Campus Cache and Proxy service for HTTP, HTTPS and FTP protocols. Clients such as Web browsers should be configured to use this service on campus.
